Well, I think 'kintsugi' is the most appropriate word for Sam. He's so broken, and yet, every time he shatters, he emerges more and more beautiful. What struck me the most, even in canon was how he forgave Cas for the whole wall thing -- even when Dean was having a hard time forgiving Cas. And Sam goes through a new kind of torture every season and yet, he is so good, so undeniably good that it really shines through -- like the gold that they use to remake pottery. Yes. :)
I know what you mean! When I write unexpected stuff like this, I love hearing people's comments too. It takes diligence and skill. Throw the readers a bait, but be careful about it. I think you've done it very, very well, so really, have fun with all of us trying to guess it. :D
Oh, oh, yaaay! I am SO GLAD that you'll write more! Honestly, I couldn't be happier. :) I will read any number of sequels that you decide to write -- be it WIPs or one-shots. :D I'd have offered to write for your 'verse (and, oh, it's tempting) but I have too much on my plate right now and I doubt I'll ever be able to match up to you. So I'll just wait for you to continue. :)
Oh, yeah, I don't actually cry (unless it's a deathfic, in which case I sob for hours unabashedly), so the lump in my throat is symbolic of my emotions. I will so be looking forward to more of your stuff. :) <3
