(I love a good mind-fuck story, myself. LOVE it.) I'm glad to hear it didn't read to you like horror. To me, Sam/Dean now gets to live a normal, "apple-pie" life, he's never truly been so horrifically traumatized, demons and monsters aren't after him, angels aren't dicks, heaven hopefully isn't in shambles and run by bad guys--and as a bonus, Sam and Dean aren't just together, they're ONE, which I can't help but think is what Dean wants more than anything in the world deep down.
septembers_coda said she can't think of the POV character as anyone other than Dean, and neither can I, because he's a normal kid who reads comic books and isn't that smart, more like Dean than Sam, but I think potentially they could meld well ....
