To me it was as simple as "Oh god, you can't go on a date wearing your work clothes, let's just try and make you look different" but that is the beauty of this show and the writers and the fandom!
Sorry to butt in here, but really? That's what you thought? When Dean said "Why don't you unbutton it a little," I thought that was a blatant Destiel reference. I guess everyone really does interpret it differently...
I don't mean any offense, just genuinely surprised at your interpretation. But it is interesting though.
