Thank you. Yes. I didn't think it was out of character or completely asshole-ish of John either. It wasn't like Dean was left without enough money, or that it got stolen, or put through the wash or something. If that was the case, yeah, I would've thought badly of John. But Dean chose to gamble the money and lost it all. Then stole and got caught. So yes, I can see John thinking maybe this'll teach him a lesson.
