I agree that even interpretations that differ greatly from one's own can be awesome--I've heard some really wild interpretations of my stuff before and found the experience surreally delightful--but yeah, it was SOO SOO good to truly be heard, at least one time.
I'd be interested in hearing more about how it was a tremendous experience for you, if you would like to talk about it.
