Ah, I saw this awesome comment and thought it must be my old buddy, despite the new username. ;-) (I'd love to know what both your usernames mean to you, if you feel like sharing ....)
It's so funny, because amnesia plots were so common and so cheesy in old t.v. shows, I developed an aversion to them (partly because they were so unrealistic--just pound them over the head a second time and suddenly their memory's back!), but from a more genuine angle, it can be quite illuminating.
I agree that it was hopefully a good thing for Dean (even if painful) to hear Sam's true thoughts. Dean has essentially forbidden Sam from saying stuff Dean doesn't want to hear, but this memoryless Sam isn't burdened by that. It may be the first time Dean's ever heard his unfiltered thoughts, and even though he hardly knows him, he certainly has formed opinions about Dean.
haha, how little they look alike. It almost never gets mentioned, so I mention it, but particularly in this case where Sam has to have evidence that they're brothers to be able to believe it, it seemed pertinent.
I LOVE your idea for a sequel, and it really got my creative juices flowing. That's a GREAT idea. You may see that fic someday ....
Thanks for another wonderful comment, and it's good to see you around again.
