Because [livejournal.com profile] toratio is doing it!

1. Are you satisfied with the way your life is right now?
RIGHT now? No. But in general lately, yes, very much so. I'm just going through something difficult at the moment, trying hard to find the right path, and it's all very hazy and scary and uncertain.

2. Do you drink enough water?
This question would amuse those who know me in person, because up until less than a year ago, I almost never drank water at all; it made me feel sick. I didn't drink much of anything, but never water. Now I've found kinds of water I can tolerate (spring water, mainly), and I drink what seems to me like a normal amount of water.

3. When was the last time you ate at Burger King?
A year or two ago, upon which I swore it would be the last time, because though it tastes great, I finish a meal purchased there feeling like I haven't consumed any actual, you know, food, the stuff with nutritional value. It's as bad as McDonald's that way, these days, sadly; it used to be great. But nothing's worse than Wendy's.

4. Do you prefer the beach or the mountains?
I like them equally.

5. How do you usually feel when you wake up on a morning?
Scared, depressed, in pain. (I have digestive difficulties that bother me when I sleep.)

6. Would you rather take someone on a date, or be taken on a date?
Be taken on a date! A guy in college who turned out to be kind of stalking me did really know how to arrange a date, and I went on some amazing dates with him, before it all got way too creepy.

7. When was the last time you wore high heeled shoes?
ARGH, high heels! I never wear them if I can help it, so ... what, two decades? Somewhere in there.

8. Vodka or wine?
I don't drink at all, and if I did, neither of these dreadful beverages would be on the menu. Kahlua maybe, amaretto, even whiskey before that ickiness.

9. How often do you cry?
Almost never on my own, though easily when I'm watching something sad.

10. Ever had a crush on a teacher?
I figure I must have had a crush on my sixth-grade teacher since I tried to get him to marry my sister.

11. Can you wire a plug?
Why yes I can! In my Stage Lighting class, we had to learn how to do that. It's nothing I've had to do since, but I sure am glad I know how.

12. Do you wear socks to bed?
Never. Free the feet!

13. What is currently bugging you?
These issues I'm trying to deal with.

14. Where were you when you got your first period?
At home in bed, wondering when I would ever get my period, and viola! I was nearly 12, but impatient!

15. Can you change a car tire?
Sure. I can do all sorts of things to a car. Wait--that came out wrong! I know a lot about car maintenance from a friend with whom I used to fix my car. The only thing that keeps me from doing more of it is the lack of physical strength necessary.

16. Have you met more than ten celebrities?
Hells no. In fact, I can only think of one, and he wasn't exactly famous, just famous to me and a few thousand other people.

17. Do you sleep naked?
On rare occasion, if it's very hot, or I'm feeling vulnerable.

18. What was the best music gig you’ve ever attended?
Probably my first--a Howard Jones concert. We traded KFC for a good seat, then spent the day talking with all the people sitting around us. It involved flirting with the cute punky guys near us (there was a terrible dearth of cute punky guys in my large high school; it was really conservative), which led up to an exuberant hug during an emotional moment of the concert. Aw, what a memory! I was 15.

19. Have you ever had sexual feelings for anyone you follow?
Why yes, all of them. tee hee ... no, I'm afraid not. Although some of your fics have created them!

20. Do you think Benedict Cumberbatch is hot?
Yes, although he is unusual-looking. It took seeing him in motion to make me find him especially hot. Like Jensen, it's more the whole package, how incredibly talented he is, that does it for me.

21. Favourite Disney princess?
I have a soft spot for Belle, far more because I liked that movie and its music so much than because I like the character, which I don't, particularly. She was the last really weak, bland Disney heroine, fortunately, but the music is just so great, and the story is, too.

22. Favourite city?
Wow .... Missoula, MT is glorious, but so is Page, AZ, and Victoria, BC.

23. Can you drive?
I learned on a VW bus, a stick. My dad promised me that if I could drive that, I could drive anything. So far, he's proved to be right.

24. Cigarettes or alcohol?
No no no!

25. Exercise or healthy eating?
Both, please! It's quite recent that I've added a regular exercise program to my life and I'm finding it's making a huge difference. Never thought I'd be an exercise person, but put on a little music and it ain't so bad.

26. Favourite and least favourite accents?
I pretty much like all accents except some of those really backwater western or southern ones (in the U.S.). Also, oddly enough, the small town I was born in has its own accent (in a state that otherwise universally speaks standard American), which is an accent/dialect I hate that involves "yous" among other travesties of the English language.

27. What are you looking forward to?
SPN returning next week! And the next shared world fic someone posts!

28. Did you play Red Rover when you were a child?
Sure, lots! That's a great game.

29. Are you more attracted to men or women?
Men exclusively, apparently. Unlike, well, some 99.99% of fandom, I like het. I like all the SPN female characters. Women can definitely be hot. But my friend I'm introducing to SPN is in turn introducing me to a femmeslash anime, and to my surprise, I just can't get into the vibe at all, even though it's a good show. But give me some good het or male slash and I'm right there. I figured it wouldn't make much difference, but it seems a man has to be involved for me to be able to get into it.

30. Do you like 1980s fashion?
Yes yes yes! Okay, let me amend that: acid-washed jeans, dozens of plastic bracelets, legwarmers on the outside of your jeans ... I thought that stuff looked dumb even back in the day. But punk style? OH yeah!
