Loved this metaview! (It needs a... what is the word for that, combining the names?) I don't really feel that Show is making Sam that bad. They're making us *question* it, in both the brothers. And Sam really WASN'T very bad, although, in the conversations with Dean, he sounds worse than he is. They're leaving out that Sam never intended to let Lester sell his soul-- and I actually sort of approve of that, because Sam is taking the hard line on his own morality: intentions don't matter, just the results. pretty self-unforgiving, which is very Sam (and very Dean, for that matter).

I totally agree; this amount of resolution wasn't everything, but it was soooo much more than I expected.

And LOL at team BUILDING and dirt NAP (if I'm remembering the latter correctly). Maybe Jensen was tired out from directing the week before, and NAP was clearly the more important part of that phrase...
