Glad it was a good outing! :) Though I loved the second Hobbit movie--if, admittedly, mostly because the first one was so disappointing I was just like, well, fuck it. XD I'd gotten stranded in Atlanta due to the polar vortex, which let to me getting to meet (and stay with!) a long-time fandom friend for the first time; I ended up seeing it with her because she'd made plans to see it with a friend. So GRANTED it was probably the circumstances rather than the film that I liked, but I remembered it being Hollywood ridiculous, so it's good to know that the third one is enjoyable even more so, it sounds like. It's kind of tragic, because the LotR movies were so good, but on the other hand I'm just like /hands!! I think never having read The Hobbit helps me out a lot with that detachment, though.
