My impression from the reviews I've glanced at on GR and Amazon is that 1 star can mean anything from 'not my kind of book for whatever reason' to 'too many typos' to (in the case of hard copies) 'book was damaged and I sent it back'. People should stop and consider what effect ratings have on visibility and not leave 1 star at all unless they hate it and are prepared to explain why.
