I admit that I seldom read Amazon book reviews but I pay close attention to 1 star GR reviews because they can be very amusing. I don't give 1 star or 0 stars unless I hate a book - that doesn't happen often - and I never allow 1 star reviews or any reviews to sway my reading decisions. I'm possibly not typical in that respect. I do think though that 1 star usually means 'not my thing' or 'dnf'. Sometimes there are glowing reviews with 1 star attached to them. XD I'm a lot more concerned about shadow banning and the disabling of reviews on certain books at GR. Having said all of that, I do appreciate the problems of getting your work seen. Kindle Unlimited is full of junk that's hard to filter out.
