In your own space, talk about a creator. Show us why you think they are amazing.



I have to write about petite_madame, because she is unbelievably talented and puts her heart into everything she does. Everything of hers I've seen blows my mind. You could just look at her lj to see why I think she's amazing, but I'll make a few specific recs.

These all come from her Journal of a Man of Letters project, in which she posts one new image-plus-fic A WEEK, because, wow. French is her main language, but the fics are in English, and they're still quite good! And the art ... holy crap. There's no point in saying any more, because it wouldn't do it justice, just look, look, I implore you!

She is so outrageously talented. And I'm thinking to myself why have I never seen this? I've friended her journal. And it's because it's on tumblir. I really, really don't want to go there, but all the gorgeous links I see from there are really tempting.

Yeah, I can't bring myself to go to Tumblr, either. Every time I browse a tag there, I feel like I'm back in middle school: some really cool, creative, nice stuff, and then a bunch of uncreative meanies talking crazy. :-/ She DOES link to each entry from her lj, though! That's how I find these entries.

Extremely time consuming but a lot of fun. I didn't plan to draw and write so much but now, I even post during Hellatus xD

I'm glad you saw the rec, because you are awesome and deserve all the kudos you may get!

14 is so lovely--especially because I adore dragonflies.

I don't want to burden you with unwanted questions because I'm sure you're very busy, but how do you do it?! I've done a fair bit of painting and drawing by hand, but I have no experience with digital art. Do you use existing images of Jared and Jensen, etc., and layer on top of them, or do you draw them from scratch? Either way, they're magnificent.

No bother at all! Everything is freehand (= I start from scratch) but I use reference photos of Jared and Jensen when I paint. It's impossible to draw their faces from memory. So I have on Photoshop my blank canvas open on the right and the photo of Jared-Jensen on the left. You can see my process here if you want:

Thank you so much for this info about your amazing process! Very few people can make the boys look so much like themselves (I could never draw their faces from memory, either!), but details like the hair made me think it had to be from scratch. And I learned a lot about digital art from your process post, too! You're a gift to this fandom. Thank you for everything you create for us. <3

Not a lot of people can! That's why I don't understand when people on Tumblr contact me and tell me that they feel guilty because they use reference (they feel a bit better when I tell them I do).

I'm fed up to see on Tumblr posts written by imbeciles who make artists feel guilty for using photos and reference. ARGH!!
