Post something random day is so fun, I wish it could be every day!! Because when someone posts something random, you learn a little bit more about them, usually some interest/obsession they don't talk about here because we mostly talk about SPN. Y'all are interesting people! I for one would like to read more about these non-SPN aspects of yourselves, iffen ya feel like posting about them ....

AMEN! Seconded to that! All day, I've been seeing the posts pile up in my feed, and thinking, what an awesome community. Someone gets and idea, and then it ACTUALLY HAPPENS.

Random non-fandom thing from me: I'm reading Gillian Flynn's Dark Places and it's seriously a testament to how much I love you guys that I'm reading LJ and commenting rather than humping that book. omg... so suspenseful, so good.

I've been reading Entertainment Weekly for years, and Gillian Flynn used to be one of my favorite contributors to EW before she became an author in her own right. It's cool to see her having so much success! And fun to read how her former coworkers review her books in EW ...

Why can't it be every day? I think it should be every day! I loved reading everyone's cool posts on my flists, and seeing everyone out and about for the festivities! :D I DON'T SEE WHY THIS CAN'T BE EVERY DAY.

I know I post an awful lot of fandom stuffs, but that's why I post personal too, because I think that it's good to share a little of yourself with everyone. And you learn funky things in return, discussions arise and we end up off on wild brain journeys about shared experiences etc :D

I really love this comm, it's my fav. I haven't posted too much, but I devoutly read everything. i adore open letters!
Anyhow, as a funny, my oldest son is 19, and has left the nest for the Navy. He is in boot camp, and I write him almost daily, he is homesick and mail gets him thru. He writes once a week. So, this weeks letter from him starts, literally first sentence "hey moms, so, how's Sam and Dean treatin ya?"
I love my son.!!!!
