I just realised I mis-read #32 as to whether I would redo it. Fucking thesis brain.

You quilt? That's cool. It always looks so lovely, those big quilts, but fuck it looks hard. But maybe that's because I'm not very coordinated.

No, IT'S REALLY FUCKING HARD. But you can take your time and do it at your own pace, and the finished product is so worth it.

Is this the sort of thing people spend years on?

[identity profile] brightly-lit.livejournal.com 2016-10-19 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
I certainly do! But I'm a slow quilter.

[identity profile] milly-gal.livejournal.com 2016-10-18 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
I've never been able to quilt, not got the patience for it. My dad was a crack-shot with a crochet needle though :)

It does require patience! And a tolerance for inevitable mistakes and failures. But then you have something beautiful and useful at the end of it.

That's awesome that your dad crocheted! What all did he make?

[identity profile] milly-gal.livejournal.com 2016-10-19 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
He crocheted my Mama a pillow when I was born, it had my date of birth and name (Emily) and their names on it with a heart. Last sweet thing he ever did but it was very sweet. It's been lost to the aeons of time and a bazillion moves between Mama and I though.

I love these answers! You're so good with words. (Or I should say, with word.) ;-) LOL 1,000 times about "douchey". And under hobbies, if I were you, the only thing I'd think would suit would be "all". :-D

I'm so glad your life is expanding. And we can go to Target in Parker anytime you want.

"With word." LOL!

YEEEEESSSS, yes, you met the man.

"All" hobbies--I like that!
