The traffic must have been GREAT in y'all's towns today, because it was ALL HERE. AND we had to go to the store twice! Every single time we go to the grocery store near our house, I swear I'll never go back there again (generally we go way out of our way to an area of town we quite enjoy and just have fun listening to music during the drive). Then months pass and I start to think, Aww, how bad could it really be? I was probably just in a sensitive mood that day. I'll give it another shot--it's so close to home! And then I come out of there swearing yet again never to return. CURSE YOU, STORE, TO THE DEPTHS OF HELL! Oh, wait, you ARE the depths of hell; never mind.

So the reason we had to go to the store twice was because that evil store under the incompetent management of Crowley sucks so much we couldn't even find half of what we came for!

But we did FINALLY manage to run our three minor errands--it only took THREE HOURS.

Ahem.

Anyway, how are y'all's days going?

Adelaide heatwave: state capital is declared the hottest in the world

It was in the 40s yesterday, and again today. And tomorrow and Saturday will also be in the 40s. On Sunday, it's going to be a frosty 30C!

Yikes, you poor dear! It VERY occasionally gets that hot here, but it's a dry heat, so ... well, actually, 107 is still really bad, but as long as it's not humid, even 97 isn't too bad. I'm assuming it's humid since you're on the coast ...?

Actually, South Australia is the driest state in Australia (which itself is the driest continent - the more you know!). So thankfully it's a dry heat here. Some parts of Australia get high humidity - Queensland, for example - but we don't get a whole lot of muggy days. But we still are by the sea - I can walk to the beach in about an hour! It's only maybe 10-15 minutes drive. So beautiful.

Yeah, you guys were all over the news for a while, so I saw lots of pictures of your beautiful seaside. Thank heaven it's not that muggy there even so!
